In excellent condition. SOME WEAR & SIGNS OF AGING COMMENSURATE WITH YEARS OF ATTIC STORAGE. No major damage, no missing parts & nothing is broken-off. No tarnish, no rust & minimal scratches. The trophy will be shipped partially disassembled; which will lower the postage cost by 50% (or more) than it would cost to ship the trophy fully-assembled. Description
This auction is for a tall (~32 inches) & vintage 1970s
equestrian/horse-show trophy with Italian-marble, gold-toned metal components & silver-toned metal components.
THE TROPHY WILL BE SHIPPED DISASSEMBLED.
THIS WILL LOWER THE USPS POSTAGE BY OVER ONE-HALF (½) OF THE SHIPPING COST IF FULLY-ASSEMBLED.
THE TROPHY CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS:
ONE (1) cast-metal unsaddled horse topper-figure:
Attached to a metal pedestal, atop the highest Italian-marble slab lid. The gold-tone metal horse is ~3 inches tall.
ONE (1) cast-metal topper pedestal:
A 5-inch tall stand for the horse topper figure. Made of a gold-toned cast-metal.
THREE (3) pieces of Italian-marble:
ONE (1) 9-inch by 3-inch rectangular lid.
TWO (2) 4-inch by 2-inch rectangular lids.
ONE (1) particle-board wooded base:
A 10-inch by 4-inch base with a vinyl faux-wood laminate. Front edge is angled backward & bears the silver-tone engraved name/event plate.
ONE (1) rectangular blue-fronted & pressed-aluminum column:
Column is 12 inches tall.
Front-side of the column is a piece of concave aluminum with a blue silk-screen design.
Back-side is of the column is a convex piece of pressed-aluminum with a vertical-grooved pattern.
TWO (2) rounded blue-fronted & pressed-aluminum columns:
The two (2)
columns are attached together with the wooden base & the 1st-stage
marble
lid. Columns are 6 inches tall.
ONE (1) cast-metal male athlete bearing laurel bough:
Attached on the rectangular wooden base between the two (2) lower columns. Figure is 4 inches tall & is made of silver-tone metal.
TWO (2) cast-metal winged eagles:
Attached to the 1st-stage marble lid on the right & left sides. The eagles are set on a 45-degree angle from the front. Eagles are 2½ inches tall & are made of silver-tone metal.
ONE (1) silver-toned metal engraved name/event plate:
Attached to the front-side along the angled edge of the base.
ALL of the OTHER visible component parts:
The trim, risers & spacers
are made of silver-toned metals.
ALL of the connective component parts:
The rods, flanges & hardware
are steel.

Year Made/Approximate Age:
This trophy is undated & was found in a huge trophy lot from an estate sale in North Carolina. The other trophies in the huge lot were all dated in the late 1970s to the mid 1980s. Therefore, it is logical that this undated trophy is from that era as well

One of the marble slabs is stamped marked "MADE IN ITALY" on
the underside. Additionally, t
here is a paper label from some local-
based
(North Carolina) trophy shop on the underside of wooden base.

The label had fallen off & was re-glued in place after taking photos
