This piece was found at a local thrift store and contains a truly remarkable butterfly specimen. It appears as though there may have been another insect pinned underneath it previously (this means there is room to add if you choose). The butterfly was at one time alive and has been pinned to a green velvet board/backing.the frame is heavier wood. The number 42 is on the back, may have been part of a collection.
