    the 100
    th
    anniversary of the Pony Express.
    The Pony Express used a team of 400 men and horses
    to deliver mail from Missouri to California in less than
    half the time it took other methods of delivery.
    It operated for a year and a half before the
    advent of the transcontinental telegraph.
    These stamps are 61 years old and post office fresh.
    Each set of 4 stamps includes a protective stamp mount,
    suitable for framing or for mounting in your scrapbook.
