Algopix is an adjunct therapeutic and prophylactic  agent for oily and dry seborrhoea. The shampoo contains
аlcohol extract of green microalgae, salicylic acid,
juniper
tar as active substances.
Algopix is recommended in the comprehensive therapy of seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis vulgaris with affected capillitium. The extract of green microalgae has positive effect on skin epithelization, and it accelerates healing processes. Major extract ingredients are lipid substances, sterols and waxes, which facilitate skin hydration by and exclusive effect. The protection of skin from drying leads to preserved skin corneal layer elasticity and flexibility.

Do not use it
if
you are allergic to juniperi tar
or any of the other ingredients in this shampoo. Do not apply to inflamed or broken skin. If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. If you do get
Algopix
shampoo in your eyes bathe them thoroughly with water. If the eyes become irritated consult your doctor. In rare instances temporary discolouration of blonde, bleached or tinted hair may occur.
Do not use in children
under 12 years
as there is no evidence for the effectiveness and safety of the application. Shampoo is
not
recommended  to use during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage and method of administration:
Shampoo 15-20 g (1-2 tablespoons) is applied to pre-wet hair and rubbed through to achieve complete coverage of the hair and scalp with foam. Leave for 5-10 minutes in order to better penetrate the skin layers, then rinse thoroughly with water.
It is recommended to use the shampoo 3 times a week for 1-2 weeks. After that period use it 1-2 times a week in order to avoid relapse. Frequency of use and duration of treatment, depending on the type of disease and its severity is determined by the doctor.
