    Description

    This is a Vintage Solid 14K White Gold and Synthetic Ruby Masonic Ring.  I recently acquired this at a local estate auction.  I believe it dates from the 1950's or 60's, maybe earlier.  It is only partially marked (the K is visible but much of the 14 is not - please see photos) but acid tests to at least 14K and has a maker's symbol (lightly marked MG) on the inside of the band.  The ring is done in plain white gold with a bright polished finish and decorated with open work and hand engravings (please see photos.)  The Synthetic Ruby top measures 12mm by 10mm.  It is engraved with a Masonic emblem and filled in with white gold but some of the gold has worn away .  The ring is a size 10 3/4 and weighs 8.9 grams on my digital postal scale.
