been a distinguished figure on
the turf for many years. He
was appointed to be Senior
Steward for the 1936 season,
the most responsible office in
flat racing, held for one year
only, and was succeeded by Sir
Leonard Brassey, who is seen in
No. 26 of this series. Sir
; Humphrey's name is to be
found in the list of owners, as
is Lady de Traffords also, his
colours being scarlet and white.
