Rare Antique G. DEAKIN Sheffield England Horse Sweat Water Scraper Brass Vintage

Very nice used shape for something of its age. There are a couple of stickers and some writing on it, which I have left. I didn't want to mess with the patina, so I figured the final owner could do with it what they want. Here is something I found out about it on the web:

This antique horse grooming tool consists of a curved brass plate supported on an iron frame with a wooden handle. It is used to remove sweat or water after bathing from a horse's coat. The brass blade is stamped "G.Deakin, Sheffield, England" above this there is a stamped horse head. This mark was registered in 1842. George Deakin is recorded at various addresses in Sheffield between 1825 and 1865, so this scraper probably dates from around 1850. The iron frame has a trace of Deakin's cast horse head on each side where its branches meet. The scraper has a turned beech handle.
