NECK AND NECK
Our picture shows two
horses in training galloping
neck and neck on the New-
market Heath. There are
several recognised training
gallops on the public heath,
which has been the centre of
thoroughbred racing in Eng-
land for over 300 years. The
special character of the soil
keeps the turf in splendid
condition, being porous
enough to absorb the heavy
rains and mossy enough to
retain some moisture in very
dry weather.
THE CARD DIMENSIONS ARE APPROXIMATELY
2 5/8 '' x 1 3/8 '' or 6.5 cm. x 3.5 cm.
