amateur steeplechases across
natural country. These are
under the jurisdiction of the
National Hunt Committee,
which superintends all English
steeplechasing, and are organ-
ised by hunts, by military
units and other organisations.
The prize must not exceed
20 pounds in cash, and the rules are
framed to exclude any pro-
fessional interest in this form
of racing, either by organiser
or competitors.
