    Late 1940's Western Airlines One Year of Service Pin
    Product Description
    ARTIFACT:
    This is a late 1940s lapel wing for one year of service with Western Airlines. Western began in 1926 as Western Air Express and merged with Transcontinental to become TWA in 1930. At this time, a portion of the company called Western Air Transport broke away, eventually becoming General Airlines and later WAL (then simply Western Airlines). The pin is petite wing with the profile of a Native American man wearing a headdress at its center.
    VINTAGE:
    Circa late 1940s.
    SIZE:
    Approximately 1/4" in height and 13/16” in width.
    CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
    Plated brass.
    ATTACHMENT:
    Single screw post with disc backing.
