    Description

We are working as partners in conjunction with Gettysburg Relics to offer some very nice American Civil War relics for sale.
THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG - 'THE SADDLE' - THE VALLEY BETWEEN LITTLE ROUND TOP AND BIG ROUND TOP (
a relatively small area which is essentially the ground in front of the 83rd Pennsylvania and 20th Maine defenses on July 2nd.)
    - A very nice dropped .54 Caliber Flat base Sharps Bullet
    This
dropped .54 Caliber Flat base Sharps Bullet
was found at a RARE and Iconic site at Gettysburg - in The Valley (known as the saddle) between Little Round Top and Big Round Top, a relatively small area which is essentially the ground in front of the 83rd PA and 20th Maine defenses on July 2nd.
This artifact was a part of the collection of Iva Rosensteel-Rider (
Born in 1887, died in 1964), sister of George Rosensteel (founder of the Gettysburg National Museum and the famous Electric Map) so the provenance could not be better.
The original location information that she kept with the relics indicated that this artifact was found in the Saddle between Little Round Top and Big Round Top.
This is the first time that this artifact is being offered for public sale and we feel very privileged in the opportunity to offer it. The Rosensteels were, of course, the most famous artifact collecting family in Gettysburg and the bulk of the relics on display at today's Gettysburg National Park Visitor Center come from the Rosensteels.
A provenance letter will be provided with this relic.
    Thank you for viewing!
