    Description

    Two .54 caliber original Civil War bullets recovered in the Franklin, Tennessee battlefield area on private property with permission.
    Confederate soldiers in the Army of Tennessee used these crudely cast bullets in their Austrian Lorenz rifled muskets. One of these was rammed hard (probably due to a fouled musket) and fired. Both have a thick, irregular rim around the cavity that is typical of Confederate bullets. Come with the label from the old display they were in with other bullets. I have these 2 bullets from Franklin, but only this one label left.
